Park City’s 45,000 square foot Legacy Lodge and Marriott’s 450,000 square foot Mountainside were the initial buildings built from the master plan. The Legacy Lodge contains a variety of day lodge functions, including a 600 seat restaurant, whereas MountainSide contains 182 fractional units and related back-of-house and amenity space. The architecture was conceived to look as if it belonged “no place else” and pays homage to a local landmark that burned in 1981. Without nostalgia, the architecture recalls Park City’s mining heritage while pointing to the resort’s future as a world-class vacation destination.
