RIU Hotels & Resorts, a family-owned hospitality group, added a new hotel to its RIU Plaza brand in San Francisco through its acquisition of the 513-room Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf Hotel. The RIU Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf Hotel sits in the heart of one of San Francisco’s most iconic and vibrant neighborhood near Ghiradelli Square and Pier 39.

The hotel, previously operated under the Sheraton brand, was acquired on November 12, 2019, and makes a great addition to the RIU brand due to recent renovations with Bull Stockwell Allen as the Architect on record at the helm. The blending of both brands was made seamless since the facilities, amenities, food & beverage offerings and service easily matched RIU’s rich, high-quality standards.

Bull Stockwell Allen led the interior renovations including ADA improvements, adding new food & beverage offerings, improving the outdoor pool area to include new firepits for seating areas, the Northpoint Bar & Restaurant.
